Find your starting point
Check the score and section minimums your university asks for. Try the diagnostic, or work through one task from each skill. Record where accuracy, vocabulary or timing gets in the way.
- WEEK 02
Build reading accuracy
Alternate Complete the Words with everyday texts and academic passages. Keep a short error log: grammar, vocabulary, inference or missed evidence. Revisit the error rather than rereading everything.
- WEEK 03
Listen for the purpose
Mix short exchanges with conversations and academic talks. Summarise the message in one sentence, then check the detail you missed. Practise with headphones and keep notes brief.
- WEEK 04
Write to the task
Rotate sentence building, email and academic discussion. Give each response a clear purpose, develop a relevant point and leave time to edit. Use feedback to rewrite one weak paragraph.
- WEEK 05
Make speaking a daily habit
Use short repetition sessions and record interview responses. Listen for missing words, unfinished ideas and unclear delivery. Repeat the same prompt once with a specific improvement in mind.
- WEEK 06
Rehearse, then refine
Use a timed mock to practise moving between skills. Review the errors before another attempt. Reduce new material near test day and check your identification, appointment and testing setup.
