Rapid-fire FAQ — no time wasted

What is the UCAT format now?

Since 2025: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning (300–900 each, total 900–2700) plus Situational Judgement (Band 1–4). Two hours, computer-based.

Who uses UCAT?

Medicine and dentistry admissions in the UK, Australia and New Zealand — university consortiums use it to shortlist interviews.

How many times can I sit it?

Once per admissions cycle — which is exactly why you train the clock before test day, not on it.

Why is timing such a big deal?

Intense time pressure is UCAT's defining feature — seconds per question. Speed under accuracy is a trainable skill, and it is the one this course drills hardest.

Is Situational Judgement scored the same way?

No — SJ gets its own Band from 1 (best) to 4, separate from the 900–2700 scaled total.
