🇺🇸 MCAT · 4 sections · ~7.5-hour appointment · 472–528
The longest day in premed.
Train for all of it.
The MCAT is about 6 hours 15 minutes of testing inside a ~7.5-hour appointment — 230 scored questions of passage-based science and reasoning. It rewards integration and stamina, not cramming. Myndaq trains both, one section block at a time.
Your test day, to scale
BLOCK WIDTH = REAL DURATION · ~6H15 TESTING IN A ~7.5H APPOINTMENTEach section is scaled 118–132; the four add to a 472–528 total. No penalty for wrong answers, and the test is not adaptive — every question is worth answering.
Chemical & Physical Foundations
Passage-based general chemistry, physics, organic and biochem — data first, recall second. 59 questions in 95 minutes.
Critical Analysis & Reasoning Skills
No science, no outside knowledge — 53 questions in 90 minutes on humanities and social-science passages. Pure reading under the clock.
Biological & Biochemical Foundations
Biology and biochemistry integrated across living systems — 59 questions, 95 minutes, experiment-style passages throughout.

About the exam
The appointment, on paper

Each section is scaled 118–132 and the total lands between 472 and 528, with 500 sitting near the 50th percentile. There is no penalty for wrong answers, and the exam is not adaptive.
Inside Myndaq
Built like a coach, not a question bank
Passage-based, like the real thing
MCAT science lives inside passages — experiments, figures, competing interpretations. Myndaq drills you in that shape: ten-question sessions where the data does the talking and every answer comes with a full explanation.
A tutor that integrates, the way the MCAT does
The Myndaq Tutor sees the exact passage and question on your screen. Ask it to connect the biochem to the physiology and it walks the reasoning with you — it guides, and never just gives the answer away.
Guides your reasoning. Never spoils the answer.
Four sections, one balanced plan
A 528 is built section by section. Myndaq tracks accuracy across C/P, CARS, B/B and P/S, ranks your weakest, and queues the next set from it — so no block quietly rots while you polish your favourite.

FAQ
Day-of questions, answered now
How long is the MCAT?
About 6 hours 15 minutes of actual testing, inside an appointment of roughly 7.5 hours with breaks and a lunch pause between sections.
How hard is a 500 on the MCAT?
500 sits near the 50th percentile — the middle of the 472–528 scale. Every point above it is earned against the top half of a self-selected, well-prepared field.
Is there a penalty for guessing?
No — wrong answers cost nothing beyond the missed point. Never leave a question blank; a calm elimination-and-guess beats an empty bubble every time.
Is the MCAT adaptive?
No — it's a fixed-form exam. The questions don't change based on your answers, so steady section-by-section accuracy is what the score rewards.
What are the four sections?
Chem/Phys (59 questions, 95 min), CARS (53, 90), Bio/Biochem (59, 95) and Psych/Soc (59, 95) — 230 scored questions, each section scaled 118–132.
