01

Biology: make recall active

Turn a topic into short questions, labelled relationships and comparisons. Check the exact wording when two statements seem almost identical.

02

Chemistry: organise the reasoning

Group reactions, properties and relationships by the pattern they follow. Work through the conditions that make one option different from another.

03

Physics: build numerical control

Translate the question into a physical model, then solve with consistent units. Keep a short record of calculation errors to revisit before a timed session.

YOUR PRACTICE ROUTINE

Turn the next step into a habit.

  1. 01

    Establish your starting point

Map a few recent errors across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Separate recall gaps from conceptual confusion and numerical mistakes.

  2. 02

    Practise the difficult distinction

Use active recall for precise statements and comparisons, then balance it with worked calculations. Explain why each plausible alternative is incorrect.

  3. 03

    Review before repeating

Review a mixed timed session by the cause of the error. Return to the relevant concept or statement, then test it in another question.

YOUR NEXT STEP

  1. Question 1 · easy · Displacement Current

Which of the following pairs of physical quantities have the same SI unit?

    • Conduction current and displacement current
    • Permittivity and permeability
    • Electric field and magnetic field
    • Electric flux and magnetic flux

  2. Question 2 · hard · Dimensional Analysis · Deriving Relations

The frequency ν of vibration of a stretched string depends on the tension T in the string, its length L and its linear mass density μ. Using dimensional analysis, the expression for ν is:

    • ν = k·(1/L²)·√(T/μ)
    • ν = k·(1/L)·(T/μ)
    • ν = k·L·√(μ/T)
    • ν = k·(1/L)·√(T/μ)

  3. Question 3 · easy · Viruses Viroids Prions Lichens

In lichens, the symbiotic association involves:

    • Two different fungi
    • Bacteria and fungi
    • Algae and bryophytes
    • Fungi and algae

NEET UG: common questions

How is NEET scored?

Each correct answer earns four marks and each wrong answer deducts one, out of 720. If you attempt 100 questions and get 84 right, you score 336 minus 16, which is 320. Unattempted questions score zero, so the marking rewards accuracy over blind attempts.

When is NEET 2027?

Use the next NTA bulletin for the confirmed date and mode; do not infer them from an earlier cycle. NTA reports that the 2026 examination was held on 21 June and its results were declared on 16 July, following the earlier May administration.

Will NEET 2027 be computer-based?

Not confirmed. NTA has not published a 2027 bulletin or notice on the mode of the exam. NEET 2026 was a pen-and-paper OMR test in a single shift. Treat any coaching-site claim about a computer-based NEET 2027 as unconfirmed until the official bulletin says so.

What is the NEET application fee?

For 2026, General candidates paid ₹1,700, General-EWS and OBC-NCL ₹1,600, and SC, ST, PwBD and third-gender candidates ₹1,000, with ₹9,500 for centres outside India, plus payment-gateway charges. The 2027 fee will be set in the new bulletin and may change.

What is the age limit for NEET?

You must have completed 17 years on or before 31 December of the exam year. There is no upper age limit and no cap on the number of attempts. You also need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English.

Can I write NEET in Hindi or a regional language?

Yes. The paper is offered in 13 mediums: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Regional-language papers are available only at centres in the relevant states, and the medium you choose at application is final.
