An aptitude course has no exam fee of its own — the fee is charged by whichever exam you are preparing for. For most candidates in India that means one of the large recruitment examinations whose first stage is an aptitude test: the Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level Examination, the bank officer and clerk exams run by IBPS and by the State Bank of India, and the Railway Recruitment Boards' NTPC exams. This page sets out what the latest official notifications charge and what they say about refunds, alongside the Myndaq aptitude course. Where a notification could not be read at source, the page says so rather than quoting a figure from a coaching site.
SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination
From the SSC's notice for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026:
- Fee: ₹100.
- Exempt from the fee: women candidates, and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation.
- Payment: online, through BHIM UPI, net banking, or Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or RuPay debit cards.
- Refund: the fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances, and is not adjusted against any other examination.
- Correction charges: ₹200 to correct and resubmit the application the first time, and ₹500 the second time, for all candidates regardless of gender or category; not refunded.
- Answer-key representations: ₹100 per question, non-refundable.
An application that remains unpaid is shown as incomplete and is rejected; check the payment status in your SSC login.
IBPS Probationary Officers / Management Trainees
From IBPS's "How to Apply" instructions for the current PO/MT recruitment (CRP PO/MT-XVI):
- Application fee / intimation charges: ₹850 (inclusive of GST) for all candidates other than SC/ST/PwBD.
- SC / ST / PwBD: ₹175 (inclusive of GST).
- Bank transaction charges for online payment are borne by the candidate.
- Correction through the edit window: ₹200 (inclusive of GST), the same for every category; not refunded or adjusted against any other examination.
- If a candidate's category changes from General, EWS or OBC to SC, ST or PwBD, the instructions state that fees already paid will not be refunded.
SBI Probationary Officers
From the State Bank of India's Probationary Officers advertisement for 2026–27 (CRPD/PO/2026-27/09):
- Application fee and intimation charge: ₹750 for Unreserved, EWS and OBC candidates.
- SC / ST / PwBD: Nil.
- Non-refundable: the fee once paid will not be refunded on any account, nor held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
- Payment: online, after registration on SBI's careers website.
IBPS Clerks (Customer Service Associates)
IBPS's detailed notification for the current clerk recruitment could not be read at source for this article — the IBPS website refused a secure connection to our tools, and the registration page shows no fee. The fee is fixed in each notification, by category, in the same way as the PO fee above; read it in the notification on the IBPS website before you apply.
RRB NTPC
The Railway Recruitment Boards' Non-Technical Popular Categories notifications could not be read at source for this article: the regional RRB site we tried redirected to a listing page with no fee text. The examination fee, and any part of it refunded to candidates who sit the first computer-based test, are set in each CEN notification; read the notification for your cycle on your RRB's official website.
Campus placement aptitude tests
Campus placement tests have no fee schedule, because there is no single conducting body — each employer, or the assessment company it uses, sets and administers its own test. If you are ever asked to pay to sit a recruiter's aptitude test, check with your placement cell before paying.

For a General-category male candidate applying from India, using the notifications above:
- SSC CGL: ₹100.
- IBPS PO: ₹850.
- SBI PO: ₹750.
A woman candidate pays nothing for SSC CGL, and SC/ST/PwBD candidates pay nothing for SBI PO and ₹175 for IBPS PO. Every one of these fees is non-refundable, so apply only for the recruitments you will sit, and complete the form carefully the first time — corrections cost extra.
